I am SO SO SO excited to share the last pattern in the Isla & Friends Collection with you today!
Say “hello” to the NEVERLAND TUNIC
When I set out to create the Isla & Friends Collection one of my goals was to write both adult and infant versions of all of the patterns in the collection. And while I love the style of the Neverland Dress, it didn’t seem like quite the right shape for an adult garment, so I adjust the pattern, dropped the peter-pan collar, and transformed it into a sophisticated and feminine tunic shape. The name of the game with this pattern is easy femininity. The tunic features a few short-rows in the neckline that give it a comfortable and flattering fit, and the increases through the body give the tunic a nice drape and an easy to wear, loose fit. The best part of course is the faux-petticoat and picot bind-off, that create the illusion of layers without extra bulk and add a whimsical girlish flair.
Its knit up using sport weight yarn, and in keeping with the rest of the collection, I worked mine up in solstice yarn’s “luna sport”
luna sport features a blend of superwash merino and a little bit of cashmere, so its dense and lustrous and gorgeous.
I have so grateful to Tricia, Stephanie and April over at solstice for their continued support and partnership throughout this collection. Solstice is so near and dear to my heart, and its been the perfect yarn line to build “Isla & Friends” around.
To celebrate the release of the Neverland Tunic, both the it and the Neverland Dress are 25% off here AND on ravelry for the next week….you have until Friday June 10th to score this sweet deal 🙂 Don’t Miss Out!
